Kathryn Leigh Scott ( born 26 January 1943; age 77) is the actress who played Nuria in the Star Trek: The Next Generation third season episode " Who Watches The Watchers ". Scott was born as Kathryn Kringstad in Robbinsdale, Minnesota and is best known for her role as governess and former waitress, Maggie Evans, in the cult television series Dark Shadows, in which TNG guest star Mitchell Ryan also played starred. She starred on the series from 1966 through 1970, during which time she played multiple characters in addition to Evans. She also appeared in the 1970 film based on the series, House of Dark Shadows. In 1979, she starred in the TV movie The Chinese Typewriter, with William Daniels. In 1986, she began her own publishing company known as Pomegranate Press to write stories about her days on Dark Shadows. After Dark Shadows, Scott went on to makes guest appearances on such series as Space: 1999, Hawaii Five-O, Little House on the Prairie, Quincy (a series featuring fellow Star Trek alumni Robert Ito and Garry Walberg as regulars), and The Incredible Hulk.
