Maybe talk about what you've been doing since the last podcast? How the area you live in has been affected by the pandemic (if it has), what that's meant for you as an individual, &/or for your family/friends? View more
+1 answer in: "Trying to make another episode for my podcast. Anything you want me to talk about.? Any advice or questions you want.? Please let me know.! " Hot chocolate or just.. like coke? If they were both the same amount of time (in making it) away, which would you choose? Between the 2, I would choose Hot Cocoa. View more
If you had to cater a dinner party for 6 people at your home. What corses would you serve? And how easy/hard are they to make? Would this be difficult for you? zar
Very. Whomever has room in their stomach for that many courses either hasn't eaten all day, seriously has an eating problem, or is carrying around a 2nd or 3rd stomach like a cow. They'd be getting one course, maybe two, if you count desert, but that's all I got.

It's hard to review a book when the previous 9 reviewers have captured everything that needs to be said. But this is a story worth commenting on, even if it is a repeat. The story is told from the perspective of a mentally challenged young man putting together his dream life as a dog walker in a small town. The author does a wonderful job of portraying Benny's interactions with the people he crosses paths with, from his clients, to unlikely friends that ride the bus with him. Throughout the story you see Benny's simple common sense and heart at work, caring for people the way he does for his 4-legged friends, despite the fact that people, in his opinion, don't have the sense dogs do. This is not so much a rounded plot with beginning, middle and end, as it is a chapter in Benny's life as he figures out his place in it.

He treats people the way he does animals, with friendship until they prove otherwise, then, rather than do or say harm, he simply distances himself from them. The author, Corwyn Alvarez, wrote wonderfully of a young man who recognizes his limitations but is untroubled by it. I found myself wanting to keep on reading to learn more of Benny, the people he meets, the decisions he makes, the dreams he has. I very much appreciate that the author released this book with an active TOC, took the time and made the effort to edit, or have it edited. I've read a number of eBooks and this was the first that I was not distracted by misspellings, formatting problems, or improper use of contractions, punctuation, and sentence structure. Well done!
All of the side characters serve as colorful contrast to the simple, and rather dull, kindness of the main character. You wish you could spend more time with the others because they seem more compelling within the story, but it is that contrast, without the author delivering more about the side characters than needed, that makes the story work. You find out that the story itself is not goal-oriented, but more a months-long outtake of the protagonist's life as it flows along. For readers who need a cliff-hanging drama with a decisive ending, you'll be disappointed. For a mellow, engaging story that would be good for a middle school English class assignment, you'll enjoy it. Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2012 Verified Purchase
Benny Mozer quits high school to start a dog-walking business. He has an IQ of 70 yet realizes to be a success he has to rely on himself to get it started and keep it going. He relates to people by the way they treat animals; caring people are worthy of his trust, disdainful people are not and he does his best to avoid them.
Overall, I kept waiting for this book to bring about something I could sink my teeth into. Like I said before, this book is not for me but there are many people who I believe who would love to read the story of Dog Walker. I give this book 3 souls! Rating: 3 out of 5 stars (3/5) When I first came into the world of reviewing books, I gave myself a 100 page limit. I give this book 3 souls! Was this review helpful for you?
Would you go? Do you support this? Is this pointless? It's an interesting idea, but at that point, why not just make it a virtual circus that you can see via the Oculus or some other device like that that supports virtual reality? View more
It's so easy to focus on the bad with lockdown happening again for us in the U. K., but what was something good about your day today? Or something you are looking forward to soon? 😊
I genuinely wish our country would've gone through a real lockdown, it might've helped curb the virus, instead of trying to aim for "herd immunity".. almost 10x the amount of cases & almost 6x the amount of deaths, the US gov't really screwed the pooch on this & all b/c leadership thinks it's smarter than has been proven wrong so so so so so so so many times.. Something good... I guess that I woke up this morning? It's about as good as it gets as of late. As for the past couple days, getting to talk to you for a spell. :) View more
