The Garfield Show #4: Little Trouble in Big China by Jim Davis
All the human characters are complete idiots, including Jon (as mentioned in Reason #2). In fact, most of the townspeople are stereotypes. Many of the episodes are very boring and hard to sit through. Some of the episodes are mean spirited, like " King Nermal " and "Nice to Nermal". Continuity Errors: In the comic book series and Garfield & Friends, Garfield has thoughts in which he is not supposed to talk since he is a cat. But in this show, he talks as you can see his mouth moves. Many of the episode plots are stupid. The series also has lots of sci-fi and supernatural plotlines that don't fit within the Garfield universe, since the comic has a down to earth tone. Even Garfield and Friends, which had the occasional outlandish plot, managed to stay true to this tone. It constantly reuses existing character models for many of the characters, which is very lazy on the animators' part. Some of the plots of episodes completely rip off the plots of those found in Garfield and Friends. For example, the episode "The Spy Who Fed Me" is a direct copy of the Garfield and Friends episode "The Pizza Patrol".

He concluded his review stating he preferred "old-school cell animation as the week-to-week series CGI looks too much like cheap video game emulations, but I'm not the target market of these things". Justin Felix of DVD talk gave the show 2. 5 out of 5 stating that "The Garfield Show isn't some great work of art, but it efficiently delivers cartoon animal fun that little kids would probably enjoy. The animation is a tad rudimentary and clunky at times, but it's good enough to pass muster for cartoon fare of this type. " Mike Gencarelli of Media Mikes gave the show 3. 5 out of 5 stating "it doesn't compare to the classic Jim Davis cartoon but it is all we have right now. " The series has a 3. 8 score on Metacritic touting unfavorable reviews. On IMDb, the show has a rating of 5. 3 out of 10, and 5. 2/10 on 93% of Google users liked it. June Foray won the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her work on the show. Video game
